If snowboarding or skiing isn’t your thing you can give snow tubing or ice skating a try. Ober Gatlinburg offers a variety of ticket packages so you can enjoy unlimited access to the slopes and different time slots available. This is one of the best winter activities in Gatlinburg because you’re going to be out in the cold you might as well enjoy some snow too!
3. Ride the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster
You don’t have to slip and slide on snow to enjoy the excitement of speeding down a mountain. The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is a lougee style ride that will zip you down the mountain twisting and winding through the trees. It’s fun for the whole family and two people can even ride at a time!
4. Try Some Moonshine
A sure fire way to stay warm while out walking downtown Gatlinburg is stop in and try some moonshine! Moonshine has deep roots in the Appalachian area. Stop by Ole Smoky Moonshine to learn all about how moonshine is made and its heritage. After that, give some a try! Don’t worry not all of it will burn your throat. Ole Smoky has moonshines with varying flavors and alcohol proofs. Some favorite flavors are Mountain Java, Blackberry, Apple Pie, and more!
